The Tracking Graph window shows a scatter plot of fan rpm/sensor temperature values for the selected fan and temperature sensor.
The points in the scatter plot are drawn with the colour associated with the selected temperature sensor. As the reading ages it will fade, until it has been displayed for 300 seconds - after which time it will be removed from the plot.
The Fan RPM limits (defined by the system software/hardware) are shown as green horizontal lines in the plot. There may be minor deviations above and below these values as the fans have inertia and will tend to overshoot slightly when a change is made to their required speed.
The Temperature Sensor limits, as defined in the main window, are shown as red vertical lines.
The black line shows the method used by Phantasmic in controlling the fan speed.
When the sensor temperature is below the lower temperature limit, the fan is held at the minimum speed.
When the sensor temperature is above the upper temperature limit, the fan is held at the maximum speed.
In the plot shown above, between the bounds of speed and temperature, the fan speed is following an exponential relationship, corresponding to the selection of Warmer in the main window.
RMS Error(RPM)
This error represents the deviation of the actual fan speed from that
proposed by the selected RPM/Temperature model.
